Three charities to benefit from NFU Harvest Festival 29/10/2009
Almost £2,000 will be donated to three Welsh charities thanks to the recent NFU and YFC Monmouthshire Harvest Festival.
Air Ambulance Wales, LATCH (Welsh Children’s cancer charity) and the Kidney Wales Foundation will all receive donations from the very successful Festival held recently in St Mary’s Church, Usk, and the harvest supper held afterwards at the Conservative Club in Usk.
Alan Williams, NFU Cymru County Chairman for Monmouthshire said, “I must say a big thank you to everyone who made the recent harvest festival event so successful and to those who gave so generously during the promise auction and raffle. I would also like to thank NFU Gwent Ladies and Gwent YFC for all the hard work they put into organising the event.â€
Over £1,500 was raised during the service and supper and that will be split between Gwent YFC’s chosen charity, Kidney Wales Foundation and Gwent NFU Ladies’ charity, LATCH. The £366 made from tickets sales will be donated to Air Ambulance Wales by the NFU Cymru Monmouthshire branch.
