If you are looking for a high quality locally produced turkey to be the centrepiece of your festive feast this Christmas then the UK Turkey website is just what you need.

The website is designed to raise awareness of buying British, buying local and buying the best turkey you can afford and around 250 local turkey producers have signed up to appear on it this year.

As well as finding your perfect turkey, visitors to the website, www.ukturkeys.co.uk, this year will be able to download a number of videos to accompany recipes devised especially for the NFU by Jason Palin, a chef director at The Cheshire Cookery School in Altrincham. You can also find tips on how to cook your turkey to perfection as well as ideas for making the best use of the leftovers.
