Consumer advice for Ammanford 14/1/2007
Consumer advice is being offered to people from the Ammanford area at weekly surgeries from tomorrow.
Carmarthenshire County Council Trading Standards Services will hold weekly Consumer Advice Surgeries at the Citizens Advice Bureau in inte town.
People living in the Ammanford area will be able to call at the bureau and obtain face-to-face advice from Trading Standards Fair Trading Officers.
The surgery will operate between 1-4pm every Friday at the bureau in Iscennen Road.
Ammanford consumers are able to receive instant consumer advice over the telephone from Consumer Direct Wales in Cardiff., but many people prefer to discuss their problem with an officer upon a face-to-face basis.
Trading Standards Services Manager Roger Edmunds said: “Carmarthenshire Trading Standards have never provided regular face-to-face consumer advice in the town of Ammanford.
“The people of Ammanford and the surrounding area will be able to obtain advice upon contractual disputes involving the purchase of faulty goods and services, and disputes involving credit agreements and so on. Our officers can also provide a range of other services to include pre-shopping advice upon choosing a builder, allied trades person, or gardener, and advice upon protection from doorstep crime and scams.”
