Crews from Llandudno were called to a property on Brookes Street, Llandudno at 10:40am this morning, after being alerted to blackened windows and smoke issuing from a two storey house.

Firefighters gained access to the heavily smokelogged terraced house and used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

During a search of the property they discovered the body of a deceased male approximately 50 years of age.

A full fire investigation is now underway.
