67arrested in North Wales crackdown 19/11/2009
As a result of yesterday's impact day across the six counties of North Wales, officers can now confirm that a total of 67 people have been arrested.
Since 6am yesterday morning teams of officers have been executing warrants and searching premises in a crack down on crime.
In the Western Division, which covers Anglesey and Gwynedd, a total of 39 people have been arrested for a range of offences including burglary, criminal damage and drug related offences.
In the Central Division, which covers Conwy and Denbighshire, a total of 14 people have been arrested. All arrests are in connection with various offences including assault, burglary and drugs offences.
A total of 14 people have been arrested in the Eastern Division, which covers Flintshire and Wrexham.
A cannabis factory was uncovered in the Deeside area and plants and items such as generators were seized.
A quantity of Class A and B drugs has also been seized following warrants in the Wrexham, Deeside and South Flintshire areas.
Police Community Support Officers are also working alongside operational teams to reassure local communities where there may be visible increased activity.
