Dyfed Powy Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred yesterday afternoon in Bryn Road, Aberystwyth.

The circumstances were that the single vehicle involved left the steeply banked road and travelled some distance before colliding with the roof of a house( which is below the height of the road) and then became wedged against the building.

Fire Brigade and Ambulance staff attended and administered first aid to the elderly local gentleman who tragically, later died at hospital.

The house was unoccupied at the time and no other persons were injured in the incident.
