Confusion reigned today over which of four sites is the official Paul Potts web site - if any of them are.

A contributor to http://www.myspace.com/paul_potts 124358 says there are now three fake sites with people piggybacking off the Port Talbot singer's sudden and sensational rise to fame. Owners of web sites can often make money by advertising on pages which attract hits by using famous names.

But it is not even clear if the site which accuses the others is the real thing, although it did have a remarkable 124,400 hits by two o'clock this afternoon.

One of the sites offers a link to buy a new Paul Potts CD at over 20 dollars but the CD is no yet even on sale, Another site is swamped with photographs of Potts and Pavorotti with text almost impossible to read.
