Moscow ballet returns to Carmarthen 18/11/2009
Following last years’ enchanting production of Coppelia, Moscow Ballet-La Classique return to Carmarthenshire Theatres by popular demand, with a performance of classic fairytale The Sleeping Beauty at Carmarthen’s Lyric on November 27.
Moscow Ballet-La Classique, founded in 1990, features members of the world- renown Bolshoi and Kirov companies and Ballet Theatres of Kiev and Odessa. Always in demand, they’ve recently thrilled audiences across the globe
including those in Egypt, Morocco, Europe, Israel, Thailand, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, gaining international acclaim.

choreographers (Marius Petipa), Tchaikovsky's enchanting Sleeping Beauty is now associated with everything that’s magnificent in Russian ballet. In a land, far beyond imagination a king, a queen, good and evil fairies come together to celebrate the birthday of Princess Aurora – but some have more sinister
intentions when giving their gifts… Cursed by the wicked fairy Carabose, the princess is sent to sleep for 100 years. But who will be able to wake her?
