Peter Pan flies into Newport

26/11/2009

This Christmas, The Riverfront in Newport brings you the magical tale of Peter Pan, the boy that never grew up, from Tuesday 1 December 2009 to Sunday 3 January 2010.
There's also extra festive fun with the new Peter Pan website, festive markets, foyer giants made by local schools as well as the pantomime itself!

Rehearsals are well underway and everything is set to bring to life the Panto of all Pantomimes! Peter Pan will star dastardly Welsh villain Brian Hibbard as Captain Hook with Phylip Harries, Gillian Elisa, Anna Campkin, Francois Pandolfo, Ashley Rolfe, Sarah Cortez, with Kate Rawson as Peter Pan.

Peter Pan, the Darling Children, their wonderful dog Nana and the magical Tinker Bell will fly through colourful and exotic worlds, engaging in swashbuckling adventures. Meet the lost boys, Tiger Lily, a scary crocodile and the fearsome baddy of all baddies; Captain Hook.

The magical story of Peter Pan has been entertaining adults and children for over 100 years and now, The Riverfront brings it to life in Newport. Once again, The Riverfront joins with the Hiss and Boo Company to bring back the unrivalled panto team that brought you 'Dick Whittington', 'Cinderella', 'Jack and the Beanstalk', and last year's huge hit, 'Sleeping Beauty'.

Prices range from £5 - £16 and with reductions and family tickets available, not only is this going to be a fun, traditional panto, but it is going to be one that won't break the purse strings!

For more information and to book your tickets, please visit the glorious new panto web page at www.newport.gov.uk/panto or call Box Office on 01633 656757.
During every Saturday before Christmas (December 5, 12, 19) there will also be a Festive Market from 12.30pm until 5.30pm in the studio theatre.
