Swansea libraries open longer 25/9/2006
Brynhyfryd, Sketty and St Thomas Libraries are to open for extra hours as people been rediscovering lending and information services close to home due to the temporary closure of central library.
Brynhyfryd Library's new temporary opening hours are Monday 9.00am – 6.00pm, Tuesday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Weds 9.00am – 6.00pm, Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 9.00am – 7.00pm, Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Sketty Library will open Monday to Thursday, 9.00am - 5.30 pm, Friday 9.00am - 7.00pm, Saturday 9.00am - 5.00pm
St Thomas will open temporarily on Monday 2.00 - 6.00pm, Tuesday 9.00am - 1.00pm, Thursday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, Friday 9.00 – 1.00pm and Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm
In light of these extended opening hours the temporary mobile service at Princess Way will end on Friday 22nd September
These arrangements will remain in place until Swansea Central Library reopens.
As well as borrowing books, local libraries also offer DVDs, magazines, local information and free internet access. Membership is free and open to all ages.
