Weatherman walks Wales 3/2/2010
The stunning scenery of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty will feature in this week's edition of BBC Wales' Weatherman Walking programme on BBC1 Wales at 8.30 tonight..
Presenter Derek Brockway will be joined by Denbighshire County Council's Erin Robinson, an archaeologist and project officer with the Heather and Hillforts scheme.
Erin will be taking Derek on a 4.5 mile walk, starting at Bwlch Pen Barras, taking in Moel Fenlli and across heather moorlands to the Jubilee Tower on top of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range.
The walk will return through the Coed Moel Famau back to Bwlch Pen Barras above Ruthin.
During the journey, Erin will be explaining about the history of the numerous hillforts dotted around the Clwydian Range and will be discussing the work going on to protect the heather moorlands and Iron Age hillforts for future generations.
The programme will be broadcast on Wednesday, February 3 at 8.30pm on BBC1 Wales.
