Swansea exhibition

19/1/2008

The Neath based artist, Neale Howells currently has an intriguingly titled exhibition at the mission gallery in Swansea. It is called "Bad company may need positive advertising." A recent received award from the Arts Council of Wales has allowed him to work with new media. The exhibition will use a variety of imagery including film, photography, painting and light; featuring what Neale calls. a hybrid of film and painting.
Neale said: "if we could reconsider what art is, then that can only be a good thing; imagination is often a word never used in art these days.Hopefully this show will put it back."
The exhibition runs until 23 February at The Mission Gallery, Gloucester place, The Maritime Quarter.
