Over 70 Scuba Santas took their annual plunge for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution yesterday at the National Diving Activity Centre outside Chepstow
.Lloyd Watkin a member of the Yorkshire Divers Group and one of the founders of the Scuba Santa event said: 'It was a glorious, but cold winter morning which was full of festive cheer and excitement as over 70 divers descended on the UK's deepest inland dive site dressed in full Santa costumes to raise funds for the RNLI.
"We're now less than £3,000 away from achieving our target of raising over £20,000 over the last five years for the RNLI, an amazing achievement, and there's still money waiting to come in.
"The RNLI is a wonderful charity to be involved with, who provide a great service for those most in need."
