Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has been named Championship Manager of the Month for October following an impressive run of form that saw the Bluebirds pick up three wins and two draws in five games.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Dave Jones is proving once again just what a top class manager he is.
"He guided to Cardiff to the FA Cup final last season and despite having little money to spend in the summer has worked wonders to ensure his side have remained competitive at the top end of the Championship so far this season."
City today confirmed the signing of Michael Chopra on a loan deal from Sunderland that will see the striker back in the blue of Cardiff until January 2009.
The management and board had been working hard to secure the services of a quality and proven front man, especially with regular starters Ross McCormack and Jay Bothroyd sidelined with hamstring injuries for the immediate future.
